Formed in March of 2001, GSI Bollettieri is a multi faceted company that manages tennis facilities and is also an internationally renowned Tennis School and Academy. The original name of the company was Greensquare Inc. (GSI) which was a name based on the concept that the original tennis court was made of grass symbolizing GSI as a “grass roots company”.
Since then, the name has evolved into GSI Bollettieri (GSI representing the management side and Bollettieri representing the tennis instruction side of our company). However, GSI Bollettieri is still and always will be a Grass Roots company."
GSI Bollettieri is heavily influenced by the World Renowned Bollettieri Tennis system originated by the legendary coach Nick Bollettieri. The Bollettieri connection comes from the fact that James Bollettieri is Nick Bollettieri’s son and both James and Tom Mar are true disciples of Nick. They both worked for Nick during the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and mirrors Nick in both teaching style and philosophy.
The Bollettieri Tennis System is based on a universal philosophy that every individual is unique. No two individuals think or act alike. As a result, each student is trained through a custom made program that is specifically designed to highlight their strengths as weapons and improve their weaknesses to eliminate vulnerability. With that philosophy and many years of experience from teaching, training and learning from Hall of Fame players such as, Jimmy Arais, Andre Agassi, Jim Currier, Monica Selles and Ana Kournakova, Nick Bollettieri and through a collaboration of many coaches has devised a system that has proven to work for all levels, juniors and adults alike. All GSI Bollettieri tennis programs are modeled after Nick Bollettieri tennis programs.

eri consists of three passionate career Tennis Professionals who have additional skills in areas that compliment each other, but not overlapping, culminating into a powerful and successful Tennis Management Company.
Tom Mar, President and Tennis Director, is an accomplished Tennis Pro with extensive experience in programing and directing. He spent many years learning the Bollettieri System as Nick Bollettieri’s original Fitness Director and Tennis Coach from the late 70’s to the mid 80's. Tom also has lots of experience as a Teaching Pro, Head Pro and Tennis Director at many other Tennis Clubs and Academies all over the country and abroad. In addition to being on the tennis courts, Tom also has an expertise in Marketing and Advertising. Tom has a BS Degree in Marketing and Post Graduate Degree in Advertising from San Jose State University and is a P1 USPTA certified Pro.
James Bollettieri, VP and Head Pro, is an accomplished tennis coach as well. He is an exact replica of his father in teaching style, philosophy and work ethics. His tennis experience spans fifty years starting from the days of sitting in his father’s shopping cart filled with tennis balls to being one of Nick's top Tennis Coach's. He was the Coach of the Bollettieri Traveling Team in the 80's that included players like Andre Agassi, Jim Currier and David Wheaton. In addition to his coaching experience, James is also an accomplished Tennis Photographer. James has a BA degree in Photography from the University of Miami and is a P1 USPTA certified Pro.
Victor Weithorn, VP and General Manager, is also is an experienced Teaching Professional. Victor Weithorn, a New York native, hung up his accountant’s visor to pursue a career in tennis. He ended up in Miami Beach in the 80's at North Shore and Flamingo Park Tennis Centers playing and teaching tennis. Ironically, more than 25 years later, Victor is back as an equal partner of GSI Bollettieri. Victor has a BS degree in Accounting from Long Island University and is a P1 USPTA certified Pro.
