Welcome to GSI Bolletieri Elite
Sanctioned Tournaments
With the decline of tennis in the United States over the last few years, not only at the professional level, but also in the international and national junior tournament level, and the fewer college scholarships given to American players, we have decided to formed GSI Bollettieri Elite Sanctioned Tournaments (GSI BEST.)
These tournaments, we feel, will complement the USTA programs, and will fill in the gaps, by providing a tournament experience, for those junior players who have already acquired the skills at a young age, and have the desire to become elite players.
With the support of many top level coaches, who believe in the general consensus, that it takes approximately 10 years to acquire all the skills to becoming an elite tennis player. GSI BEST is the (ideal) next step for the 10 and under player after the USTA Quickstart program, in becoming emerged into full court tennis, and to get used to the specific court dimensions boundaries and angles, that are unique to tournament tennis at every level. In addition, GSI BEST is an excellent alternative for advanced junior players to experience more high level tournament competition outside of the normal outlets presently offered (i.e. USTA tournaments, high school and middle school competitions).
DIVISIONS: (All GSI BEST Tounament divisions include both boys and girls to compete together)
(9 and unders) - ideal for skilled players without tournament experience, but much too advanced for quick start.
(11 and under) - perfect for the experienced USTA 10 and under player and ideal for the first year 12 and under player that needs a little more experience in preparation for USTA 12 and under events.
(13 and under) - perfect for the middle school tennis player that needs more choices of tournaments to prepare them for higher level of competition in both the 16 and up divisions and/or High School Tennis.
(18 and under & Open's) - This division is wide "open." Ideal for the 18 and under players training for bigger events like Super Series, Sectionals and Nationals. Also ideal for top elite players from the younger divisions (i.e. 14's and 16's) who want to compete with older players who play bigger, stronger, faster and more tactically sound. In addition, 5.0 and up adult players are invited to play as well. This benefits the junior players by giving them exposure to players that play more intellectually than physically to win.
